If you’re here, it's likely you're searching for your missing dog. You’ve come to the right place. Since 2014, our volunteer-run organization has helped thousands of dogs find their way back home. We provide free tools and resources to support you in your search for your lost pet - or to help you reunite a dog you've found with their owner. Both Lost Dogs Florida, and our partner, Pet FBI, are operated entirely by volunteers, allowing us to offer guidance and services at no cost to shelters, animal control agencies, veterinary clinics, and the public.

Before you start searching, take a moment to sit down to create a plan. In our experience, a well thought out strategy, combined with persistence, is the key to a successful recovery. We’ve surveyed thousands of pet owners about which methods have been most effective. Drawing on that knowledge, we’ve developed effective strategies that will give you and your dog the best chance of reuniting quickly.
The first step is to file a report with our partner, Pet FBI. Click on the link below and include a clear, recent full body photo of your dog. A volunteer will post your dog's flyer to our Facebook page and then reach out via email and/or text with an action plan. You’re not alone. We’re here to help you every step of the way.

Lost Dogs Florida is an all-volunteer group dedicated to reuniting lost dogs with their families. We are a registered 501c3, non-profit organization. Our services are provided free to pet owners, shelters, rescues, and animal control professionals.
Our mission:
- Provide ideas and resources to help owners locate their lost pets.
- Offer finders of lost pets effective methods to reunite these pets with their owners.
- Reduce the number of "strays" in shelters, decreasing euthanasia rates.
- Increase awareness that a lost pet doesn't need a new home, they just need help getting back home!
- We recognize the need to get every lost/found pet into ONE central database to get more pets home, quickly!
